Resurrecting the Red

how to wear a jumpsuit

I bought this jumpsuit maybe 2 years ago and I’m ashamed to say this is the first time I’ve worn it. I’m not sure why it’s taken me so long because I feel there’s been many occasions to wear it… I just never did. I don’t know.

As it turns out, the weather this week has been offering cooler evenings, so for dinner with the girls last night, I decided it was time to put this jumpsuit to work.

I find that items like this tend to require a safety pin to hold the material overlay together but I was way too lazy to bother. So I said fuck all that, I’ll just wear a bustier underneath.

And because red is loud color, I opted to go for a more neutral tone of heels. Black just seemed too traditional.

  1. The color is absolutely fantastic! ❤ I totally get what you mean about having things for ages and not wearing them. It's happened to me more times that I care to admit, but it's always nice to reconnect with pieces you haven't worn and make them feel like new again. 😀

    1. Yes, being that it was already sort of ‘formal’, I didn’t want to overdo the accessories and decided to balance it out a bit with a messy updo.

      Thanks Camille 🙂

      1. I have 2 bustiers: purple/white and pink/black, which I love pairing with high waisted skirts, high waisted shorts or high waisted pants, or under jumpsuits. I don’t have a plain black one though, that might be my next purchase.

Go on, get it out..
