I don’t understand why people press their face against the glass walls of a store waiting to run down an aisle, with 107 other crazed maniacs, trying to get a waffle-iron.
Walk in there, like a lady alright?
Or better yet, go in there someone other time, when it’s not fucking mayhem.
“Well what about the people that don’t have any money?”
Then get less shit.
The fastest way to not have money, is to go down to a department store and buy a bunch of shit.
I’m not saying you shouldn’t go out.
Just calm it the fuck down.
Dislocating your knee, having your wig fall off and “oh, I’m small, I need a competitive edge, lemme go get some bear mace…”
It’s false panic.
You’re basically going to the store version of the Running with the Bulls..
Just stay home.
I remember some security guy died a few years back because of the Black Friday stampede.
Got trampled and died of a fucking heart attack.
The guy died.
Because somebody was trying to buy a fucking He-Man doll.
And you know what kills me?
I have not been able to find Walmart’s reaction.
I mean, aren’t they in a sales way, yelling ‘fire!’ in a crowded movie theater?
You know what, next year, I think I’m going to hire a fucking video crew and go in one of these store and just start talking to these people like,
“What is all the excitement about, huh?”
“What do you think is in there that’s going to make your life better?”
Aaah, I’m on my soapbox today!
Nah but seriously, if you’re out there, be careful.
And get something for me.
I’m into neutrals these days.
And yeah I presented this dish on the inside cover of a shoebox.
I did my shopping early 😀
Shrimp & Creamy Jasmine Rice
What I Used.
15-20 Uncooked Shrimp. 1 cup Jasmine Rice. 3 cups Chicken Broth. 1-2 tbsp Coriander Seeds. 2 tsp Minced Ginger. 1-2 tsp Cayenne Pepper. 1/2 cup Diced Cilantro. Water. Cod Fillets. ¾ cup Cream (I used Coconut Cream). Salt. Pepper.
What I Did.
Next, fill a small pot with 3 cups vegetable broth.
Add in the crushed corriander and cayenne pepper.
Let it simmer for 20 mins, then season lightly with salt & pepper.
Strain through a sieve and set aside.
Preheat oven to 400F.
Rinse the shrimp thoroughly and peel the shells.
Add the shrimp to a large bowl and tip in 2 tsp cayenne pepper and 2 tsp minced ginger.
Place shrimp in the ‘fridge for at least 15 mins to marinate.
Prior to serving, place shrimp on tinfoil lined baking tray, being sure to keep them from touching.
Cook in oven for 5 mins or until shrimp starts to turn pink.
Flip shrimp to the other side and cook for another 2 mins.
