The Fever

Pretty much the entire weekend I was confined indoors.
Just one fucking snowstorm after another with yet another on the way and I gotta tell you, I’m starting to catch a serious case of cabin fever.

When will it end?
Is this what pregnant women feel like when they’re past their due date.
Moping around the house, irritable as shit like wheeeeennnnnn God, wheeennnnnn!!??

The only good thing about being snowed in is that everything sort of slows down.
Everything gets real still and real calm and even though you’ll resent shoveling it later, possibly get a hernia, in this state I can (grudgingly) see the beauty in all of it.
In all that light white, gently landing on empty branches, quieting the streets.

Another good thing about being snowed in is you suddenly have plenty of time to get a lot of things done.
Before you go right back to watching it fall.

    1. Under these conditions, the entire city and almost all the surrounding cities are under a snow ban.
Limos are a thing to dream of and I don’t have the attention span to watch any more movies.
On the plus side, i have been cooking and eating like crazy.

  1. A lovely post Ms Cake, pensive, snowbound and accepting (albeit begrudgingly) of the beauty of your winter. Love the grey cardie and your beautiful skin (that keeps you in!).

  2. BEAUT PHOTOS! this may sounds a bit strange but I love your skin tone. Yup that did sound strange but oh well it needed to be said! X

  3. Gorgeous. I can’t believe how much snow you guys are getting–it’s absolutely ludicrous at this point. At least there’s Netflix, but even that gets old after a while.

I hope you’re able to make some fantastic food during all of this!

  4. Ugh. I know that feel. We got hit by a blizzard a few weeks ago that was several feet of snow that most of the city literally just shrugged off. Like, business as usual. And I’m sitting here cluthing [another] cup of tea like GUYS THIS CAN STOP ANY TIME!
    These photos are stunning.

  5. Well my dear, thank God for solid working heating system! Just imagine a blackout situation and it’s as freez’in cold inside as outside….u sure couldn’t prance around in that sexy teddy!! LOL but that gray fuzzy robe is the bomb! where’s the fireplace and marshmallows?

  6. Your photographs are awesome! Highly impressed with the content of your blog gorgeous!

  7. So pretty Dana! I love the little glimpse into your closet. You should see how bundled I am and it’s not even cold here, but more power to you looking cute and sassy on a snow day! Not to make you jealous or anything, but we were outside wearing shorts yesterday. If you ever want to thaw out, you know where to come…

  8. I gotta say, as a Canadian that gets snow dumped on our poor city relentlessly each winter, I’m kinda glad it’s happening to someone else! LOL! FEEL THE PAIN!!! Beautiful, beautiful shots. Greatly enjoying your site. ;o)

    1. Hahaha!!
I can’t even be mad at you right now. If I lived in Canada, I’d be talking shit too lol.
Thank you so much for stopping by my blog, hope you have a great day!

Go on, get it out..
