Watermelon Pizza

Watermelon Pizza
This post is dedicated to all of you who can’t stop talking about Fall.
Whining about it like a bunch of goddamn babies.

I’ve got news for you…

It’s still 90s deg and humid.

And they’re still selling Watermelon, bitches.

Watermelon Pizza

What I Used.

1, 1in thick, vertical slice of Watermelon. 1 Mint Stem. ¼ cup Feta Cheese. ¼ cup Balsamic Vinegar.

What I Did.

Make sure the watermelon is really chilled before you start this.

When you’re ready, lay the watermelon on its side and cut out a 1″ thick slice.
Cut the slice into 6 pieces, like you would a pizza.

Without separating the slices, tear the mint over the watermelon.

Yes – the nails are all mine.
Getting fucking tired of people asking that.

If you have large mint leaves, tear them into smaller bits.
Sprinkle the feta cheese on.
You can add whatever else you like at this point, just keep it light.

Still without separating the slices, lightly drizzle balsamic vinegar on top.

You wanna keep the slices together up to this point because it makes for a cleaner plate and also helps prevent the balsamic vinegar from running.

When you’re ready to serve, separate the slices and enjoy.

  1. HAHAHA! The beginning of this post made me laugh! I’m with you — I’ll think about Fall clothes/makeup/food, but I refuse to embrace it until the weather turns…or until October 1st. This watermelon pizza looks so delicious & so easy! Definitely my kind of recipe. Will have to try it out ASAP 🙂 Thanks for sharing! XOXO

  2. So fresh!

THANK YOU for staying in summer mode. In Scotland we get about a week of summer, and it just arrived two days ago. I’m not letting go yet.

  3. Nooo, it’s cold, windy, and occasionally rainy over here, and I’ve even managed to catch a cold! And there are no watermelons in sight anymore… 😦 it’s so depressing. This looks so delicious though, I’ll definitely remember this new (to me) way of showcasing watermelon!

  4. You know where I stand on this matter. 🙂 I don’t care for watermelon but I want to make this out of spite just to shut up all the OMG FALL people for a little longer. Fall is coming (as it always does)–can’t you let us love summer for a little bit longer in peace?

  5. It’s cold here in the OH 😌😕😔 and they’ve gone up on fresh produce here… That’s how I know summer is over… But imma keep hope alive with this here light & fresh meal! Nail color is super dope tho 😉 get it!!!!

  6. 90 degrees and humid? Girl, where do you live and can I come?! Lol We are down to the upper 60 to mid 70’s but I’m still holding on to summer! Boom!
Omg, watermelon salads are my one of my faves! Watermelon and mint is pure heaven for me! Looks so yummy!! So I’m all over this recipe😋 Nice!!

    Xo, Jackie

  7. FUK FALL!
I ate this (thanks boo!) & I can personally say it was delicious!!
Please postpone fall as long as possible. I’m counting on you!
    Thanks in advance 😘

  8. WOW you just kind of blew my mind with this watermelon pizza! It looks amazing and I must try it. You seriously never disappoint with your recipes. Haha Fall will get here when it gets here. All the people complaining about it taking too long to get here are the ones that also bitch about winter being too long and the fact that Spring is taking forever to arrive. People just need to let mother nature do her thing!

  9. Hmmm… a watermelon pizza? Looks quite appetizing I must say Dana. I’m going to need to try this…immediately. And don’t hate on those of us ready for autumn. After all, I designed and created the season in the first place (well, actually, I designed and created all the seasons… but autumn is definitely my “signature” season). And since I’m the one who decides when to ultimately usher in autumn this year, you’ll just have to wait until I snap my fingers and … poof! Summer out… Autumn in. What? That’s totally why and how seasons change…it’s very scientific… honest! 🙂

    1. Lmao!
You couldn’t give me another month of summer!? I thought we had a deeper connection than that!
I guess I’ll just have to settle for seeing your outfit posts of your summer clothes….did you think I forgot!?😝😝

      1. LOL…I may decide to give you a week… or 2 LOL. It really all depends on the mood I’m…Yea, I somehow convinced myself that you forgot about that whole summer clothes look book thing…women remember EVERYTHING…they never fail LOL!

  10. I know I know…you might be sick and tired of Blogger Awards but I could not not nominate you. I love your blog. You make us all laugh hard so I nominated you for Blogger Recognition Award. Check out my latest post.

    Love. xx

  11. Love this recipe, I am going to have to try this it looks easy, healthy and yummy – perfect combo. By the way I love your blog. The design and pictures are clean.

  12. Of course like your web site but you need to take a look at the spelling on quite a few of
your posts. A number of them are rife with spelling
issues and I find it very bothersome to tell the reality on the other hand I’ll certainly come again again.

  13. Amazing blog! Do you have any suggestions for
aspiring writers? I’m planning to start my own website soon but I’m
a little lost on everything. Would you recommend starting with a free platform like WordPress or go for
a paid option? There are so many choices out there that I’m totally overwhelmed ..
    Any ideas? Appreciate it!

    1. Thank you and in response; my rule of thumb for a hosting platform is:
      – If you’re blogging just to blog, like food blogging, sharing stories you write or parts of a book, host through WordPress.
It’s got the best blogging community and makes it really, really easy for other bloggers to find you and drive traffic your way.

-If you’re planning to offer services to your audience, then consider hosting outside of WordPress, for example, do some research on Wix. They’ve got great success stories.
All my friends that have GoDaddy regret it, my sole friend that hosted on Bluehost also regretted it.
it took FOREVER for us to move her to WordPress.

Hope this helps you a little bit?

Go on, get it out..
