This picture pretty much describes my life right now.

Layers and layers of effortlessly created encounters and delicious nights with beautifully colored people who coat me with careless sprinklings of spontaneity and risk.

Pancakes andΒ Raspberries

What I Used

Wet Ingredients: 2 cups All Purpose Flour. 2 tsp Baking Powder. 1 tsp Baking Soda. 1 pinch Salt.
Dry ingredients:
2 Large Eggs. 1/4 cup Canola Oil. 1/2 cup Mil (sub. Almond Milk or Coconut Milk). 1 small handful Raspberries.

What I did

Look, I know that you know how to make pancakes by now and you know you don’t need no damn recipe.
We both know this.

So let’s move past that and get to the other part.
Next time you make them – get you some raspberries and blueberry syrup.Β

Make the pancakes however the fuck you want but DO NOT blow off the raspberries and blueberry syrup.

In a large bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients.
Then in a med bowl, mix together all the wet ingredients.

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and thoroughly integrate.

Over a med flame, heat 2 tbsp butter in a heavy-bottomed skillet.
Ladle 1/4 cup of the pancake mix into the skillet.
When bubbles start to form on top of the pancake and the edges look set, flip the pancake.

Cook until golden brown on the side down.
Transfer to a plate and continue the same process for the rest of the batter.

Serve the pancakes hot, shaking powdered sugar over the pancakes and drizzling blueberry syrup on top of everything.

      1. I’m doing great, thank you. How’s everything going for you? There hasn’t been much excitement here since I’m still working and going to school but I did jump back on twitter. What’s new with you? I feel the same way but how and when else are we supposed to catch up lol

      2. If you have Twitter, whatsapp, Dust, etc. we can keep in touch that way but if not, this would do.
That’s what I love to here. I bitch so much about this weather too but I want to avoid hate mail as well so I just keep it to myself! No one will listen anyways right? πŸ˜‚

      3. Nah I don’t fuck wit Twitter. Nooooope.
And I don’t really use WhatsApp. Not since I’ve been getting some random texts from perverts and people I don’t even fucking know.

But you’re right, no one gives a shit about how cold Fall really is up here so may as well shut the fuck up about it, right?

      4. Oh alright, our best bet is keeping it right here then.
I am right but I give a shit because at the end of the day, you feel my pain lol

Fuck, it feels like it’s already winter during early morning and late night hours though.

    1. You’re too kind, Amanda!
Hurricane Matthew was working is way off our coast when I took these so I’m pleased as a peach that you can’t tell how dark and stormy it was from the pics.
I had to crane my neck and the damn camera to get this light.

Let it be known i’m far too lazy to just plug in my lightbox and reset my setup.

  4. How did I miss this post because pancakes and French toast are my weakness even tho my gut hates them. I usually make gluten free pancakes but every once and awhile I make the real deal or I go out for them. Sweet heaven! I’m going to have try them with blueberry syrup. πŸ€”

  5. I can tell you’re a generous person Dana, just by looking at those photos – the number of pancakes in the stack, the amount of berries and sugar dusting, and the syrup. You’re just the kind of friend I want in my life, and not just because you’d feed me well (but that helps). Good stuff D xx

Go on, get it out..
